December 19, 2018. Excerpt from Opening Statement of the Party’s Supreme Council Meeting

"We will prepare measures for outsourcing in the public sector"

  Today, we intend to hold a negotiating session for ending the outsourcing of risk at the Supreme Council of the Party. A thorough investigation of the cause of the Taean power plant accident should be prioritized, and fundamental changes in the way public and private companies are run should be managed. Although per capita income is $30,000, culture that respects the safety and life of workers must be settled. I will make various efforts to strengthen related legislation and punishment. In particular, I will make sure that the laws and regulations submitted by the government are passed at this extraordinary session of the National Assembly. This week, the President is concentrating on collecting public welfare such as presiding over the ministerial meeting of expansion of economy. The Party is also carrying out a 'policy tour', and the party-government-Blue House are conducting a comprehensive system of public-sector economic cooperation. I will make plans to submit to the government comprehensively through the workshop before the plenary session on the 27th when the policy tour is completed.    

"공공부문 외주화 대책 마련할 것"   □이해찬 당대표 오늘은 위험의 외주화 근절을 위한 당정협의를 최고위가 끝난 후에 개최하려 한다 . 태안 발전소 사고 원인에 대한 철저한 진상 조사를 우선해야 되겠고 , 공공부문과 민간 기업들의 경영방식에도 근본적인 변화가 필요하다 . 소득이 3 만 불이라고는 하지만 근로자의 안전과 삶을 존중하는 문화가 반드시 정착 돼야 한다 . 관련 입법과 처벌강화 등을 위해서 여러 가지 노력을 다하겠다 . 특히 , 정부가 제출한 법령이 이번 임시국회에서 반드시 통과되도록 노력하겠다 . 이번 주에는 대통령께서 확대경제 장관회의를 주재하는 등 민생 챙기기에 주력하고 있다 . 우리 당도 ‘청책투어 ’를 진행하는 등 당정청이 혼연일체로 민생 경제 총력체제를 진행하고 있다 . 청책투어가 마무리 되면 27 일 본회의 전에 워크숍을 통해 종합적으로 정부에 제출할 안을 만들도록 하겠다 .
