"It is expected that the tour to Mt, Geumgang and Kaesung Industrial Complex will resume early"

□  Party Chairperson Lee Hae-Chan   It seems that we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Mt. Geumgang tour on the mountain yesterday very well. When it first opened, it was 20 years ago, and we had a very impressive experience. Unfortunately, as Mt. Kumgang is closed, Mt. Kumgang is reopening as soon as possible and we hope that many people will have a good opportunity to do the tour. I hope the day will come when the Kaesong Industrial Complex will be resumed so that many companies can work. We will do our best to serve as a party until North Korea-U.S. talks are held well next year and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the creation of a peace regime are created.   Yesterday, the President joined the APEC summit and returned late at night. He has to go overseas again in two weeks and I think that the Party and the government should work closely together to support domestic political affairs, economic affairs and others so that the President can solely focus on diplomacy. We will do our best so that the legislation can be done well so that the policy will be executed well because it is a difficult time.      

"이른 시일 안에 금강산 관광과 개성공단 재개 기대"

□ 이해찬 당대표   어제 금강산 관광 20주년을 맞이해서 기념행사를 금강산에서 잘 치른 것 같습니다. 처음 열릴 때만 해도, 20년 전인데, 상당히 감격스러웠던 경험을 우리가 했습니다. 불행히도 금강산이 닫혀 있는데 가능한 한 빠른 시일 내에 금강산이 다시 열려서 많은 분들이 금강산 관광을 할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 오기를 기대합니다. 이어서 개성공단도 재개돼서 많은 기업들이 활동할 수 있는 날이 오기를 바랍니다. 북미회담이 내년에 잘 열려서 한반도의 비핵화, 그리고 평화체제가 만들어지는 때까지 당으로서도 전심전력을 다해 노력하겠습니다.   어제 대통령께서 APEC 정상회담에 참여하시고 밤늦게 귀국하셨습니다. 다다음주에도 또 해외 출장을 가셔야 하는, 격무가 계속 이어지고 있는데, 대통령께서 외교 전념하실 수 있도록 국내 정치, 국내 경제활동, 이런 부분들은 당과 정부가 합심해서, 긴밀히 협조해서 뒷받침해줘야 할 것 같습니다. 여러 가지 어려운 시기인데 당도 혼연일체가 돼서 정책이 잘 집행될 수 있도록, 입법이 잘 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.
