Liberty Korea Party is committing foolishness like a mantis is trying to block a wheel in the wave of reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula

  North Korea has officially announced that it will abandon the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site between the upcoming 23rd and 25th of this month. North Korea said it would allow local reporting activities of international reporters including those from Korea and provide convenience facilities such as special trains and accommodation. The U.S. President Donald Trump responded by saying “Thank you,” saying that "it is a very clever and generous gesture." John Bolton, the National Security Advisor of the White House, evaluated that “North Korea is taking a sincere approach.”   Our political circle also welcomed the announcement by North Korea. Bareunmirae Party said, "We expect it would be the beginning of the dismantlement of North Korean nuclear weapons," and Party for Democracy and Peace (PDP) made its position clear, "We welcome North Korea's efforts to build confidence." However, only Liberty Korea Party is denouncing it as a 'show'. It is a pitiful stance that is no different from the position of the Japanese far-right press that claims it is no more than performance.  In the big stream of world history moving on to reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula, peace in the Northeast Asian region and world peace, Liberty Korea Party is committing foolishness like a mantis is trying to block a wheel (a ruthless action taken against a strong counterpart without considering its own ability). We urge Liberty Korea Party to have self-reflection. It seems that the so-called nuclear and economic big deal that suggests nuclear dismantlement and large-scale private investment has come out of the visit of the U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo to Pyongyang. If North Korea makes denuclearization fast, it means that it has promised prosperity at the level of South Korea. I would like to assess that this is the U.S. version of the Sunshine Policy. Peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula is the spirit of Sunshine Policy. We should gather the strength so that the United States’ version of Sunshine Policy, which Secretary Pompeo received, could make sure that it makes the entire population of the Republic of Korea and the political circles in the ruling and the opposition parties successful.

"한반도 화해 흐름에 한국당만 당랑거철 어리석음"     ■ 추미애 대표 북한이 오는 23 일과 25 일 사이 풍계리 핵 실험장을 폐기하겠다고 공식 발표했다 . 북한은 한국을 포함한 국제기자단의 현지 취재활동을 허용하고 특별전용열차와 숙식 등의 편의도 제공하겠다고 밝혔다 . 소식을 접한 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 “대단히 영리하고도 관대한 제스처 ”라며 “Thank you”라 화답했다 . 존 볼턴 백악관 안보보좌관은 “북한이 진지하다 ”고 평가를 했다 .

우리 정치권도 북한의 발표를 환영했다 . 바른미래당은 “북핵 폐기의 시발점이 되길 기대한다 ”고 했고 , 민주평화당은 “북한의 신뢰 구축 노력을 환영한다 ”는 입장을 밝혔다 . 그런데 오직 자유한국당만이 ‘쇼 ’라고 폄하하고 있다 . 퍼포먼스에 불과하다고 주장하는 일본 극우 언론의 입장과 하나도 다를 바 없는 안타까운 입장이 아닐 수 없다 .

한반도 화해 , 동북아 평화 , 세계 평화로 나아가는 세계사적 큰 흐름에 자유한국당은 마치 사마귀가 수레바퀴를 막는 격으로 당랑거철의 어리석음을 범하고 있는 것이다 . 자유한국당의 반성을 촉구한다 . 핵 폐기와 대규모 민간 투자를 시사하는 이른바 , 핵과 경제의 빅딜을 폼페이오 미국 장관이 평양을 방문해서 나온 것 같다 . 북한이 빠른 비핵화를 하는 경우 , 한국 수준의 번영을 약속했다는 것이다 . 이것은 바로 미국판 햇볕정책이라고 평가하고 싶다 . 한반도의 평화와 번영이 햇볕정책의 정신인 것이다 . 폼페이오 장관이 얻어온 미국판 햇볕정책이 대한민국 온 국민과 여야 정치권이 반드시 성공할 수 있도록 힘을 모아야 한다 .
