"Performance in Pyongyang marks the transition of history of division of the Korean Peninsula"

  "Spring is coming." Yesterday, there was Korean art group's performance in Pyongyang in 13 years. In addition, the joint ROK-U.S. military exercises have begun in accordance with the plan and thus, stable and normal management of state affairs is taking place, preparing for "security as security" and "peace as peace." April will be a turning point that marks the transition of history of division of the Korean Peninsula. There are many occasions that stand closely together that will be considered very sensitive compared to other years, such as hosting North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly on April 11, "Day of the Sun" and ROK-U.S. Key Resolve exercises. In such times, South and North Korea will have to cross the river of April more wisely and cautiously in accordance with the wish for 'spring to come early.' If the 'summit of the century' such as the inter-Korean summit in April and North Korea-U.S. summit in May are successfully held, the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and the establishment of a peace regime will be a reality, not a dream. Having the failure of the previous denuclearization negotiations as lessons and with the premise of the highest level of consensus and fulfillment, a permanent and successful outcome will be made. Compared to previous negotiations, the greatest hope is that South Korean President Moon Jae-in plays the role of "axis of trust" between North Korea and the U.S.. Democratic Party will make every effort to create a successful summit and peaceful atmosphere on the Korean Peninsula through activities of special committee supporting inter-Korean summit, centered around Chairman Lee Hae-chan.

"평양 공연, 분단 역사 한 획 긋는 전환기" 

    ■ 추미애 대표 “봄이 온다 ”. 어제 13 년 만에 한국 예술단의 평양공연이 있었다 . 또한 한미연합훈련 역시 계획대로 시작되어 ‘안보는 안보대로 ’, ‘평화는 평화대로 ’ 준비해 가는 지극히 안정적이며 정상적인 국정 관리가 이뤄지고 있다 .   4 월은 우리 분단의 역사에 한 획을 긋는 전환기적 시기가 될 것이다 . 11 일 북한최고인민회의 개최를 비롯 , 태양절과 한미 키리졸브 훈련 등 예년 같으면 대단히 예민하고 민감한 계기들이 즐비하다 . 그럴수록 남과 북은 ‘봄이여 어서 오라 ’는 염원 그대로 슬기롭고 지혜롭게 , 그리고 신중하게 4 월의 강을 건너야 할 것이다 . 4 월 남북정상회담과 5 월 북미정상회담 등 ‘세기적 회담 ’이 성공적으로 이뤄진다면 한반도 비핵화와 평화체제 구축은 꿈이 아니라 생시가 될 것이다 .   역대 비핵화 협상의 실패를 교훈 삼아 가장 높은 수준의 합의와 이행이 전제되어야 항구적이며 성공적인 결실을 맺을 수 있을 것이다 . 역대 협상과 비교해 볼 때 , 가장 큰 희망은 한국의 문재인 대통령이 북미 간 ‘신뢰의 축 ’ 역할을 하고 있다는 점이다 .   더불어민주당은 이해찬 위원장을 중심으로 한 남북정상회담지원특위 활동을 통해 성공적인 정상회담과 한반도 평화 분위기 조성을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다.
