“In response to the outbreak of African swine fever and the surge in international oil prices, comprehensive countermeasures need to be in place.”

    □ September 18, 2019 (Mon.)□ Lee Hae-chan, Chairman of the DPK   The government and the ruling DPK party have discussed prosecution reforms with the Ministry of Justice, sharing opinions on a wide range of issues, including the prevention of human rights impingement incurred by the authorities, measures for democratic control, reform in judicial services for the people, and improvement in the fairness of administrative punishment. Minister Kuk has shown a strong will to push ahead with reforms concerning the prosecutor’s office. It is time for the Ministry of Justice to accelerate a reform drive in judicial affairs and the prosecution, a long-cherished ambition of the government, and for the National Assembly to return to proper operations, doing what the people expect of parliament.

  African swine fever has been confirmed for the first time in Korea. The ruling DPK has discussed countermeasures with representatives from the relevant ministry, the Livestock Cooperative Federation, and Korea Pork Producers Association. During the meeting, all were united in their call for a strong initial response. The ruling DPK will fully support the government’s efforts to address this issue through the party’s special committee activities to determine comprehensive measures to prevent the deadly animal disease from further damaging farms, the processing industry, and workers.

Last weekend, short-term prices of international crude oil soared following attacks on major oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. As a response, by closely working with the international community, the government needs to secure alternative supplies of oil to replace oil coming from Saudi Arabia as well as consider releasing some oil reserves kept by public and private sectors.

  법무부와 함께 검찰 개혁과 관련한 당정 협의를 가지고, 권력기관에 의한 인권침해 예방과 민주적 통제 제도 , 국민을 위한 법무 서비스 개혁 , 행정 처분의 공정성 제고 방안 등을 논의했다. 조국 장관은 이를 실행하려는 강한 의지를 보였다. 검찰은 최선을 다해 공정하고 독립적으로 수사하고 , 법무부는 오랜 숙원인 법무 , 검찰 개혁에 박차를 가하며, 국회는 본연의 자세로 돌아와 제 할 일을 해야 할 때다 .  아프리카돼지열병이 국내에서 처음 발생했다. 당은 관련 부처와 축산 , 한돈 협회 등 관계자들과 함께 대응 방안을 논의했는데, 모두가 초동 강력 대응을 주문했다. 당도 특위를 통해서 정부를 뒷받침할 것이고 이번 사태로 농가, 가공업체, 자영업자들에게 2 차 피해가 가지 않도록 종합적인 대책을 세심하게 챙겨나가도록 하겠다.

  지난 주말 사우디 주요 석유시설 피격으로 국제유가가 단기적으로 급상승했다. 이에 대비해 정부는 국제사회와의 긴밀한 공조를 통해서 대체 물량을 확보하고 민관이 보유하고 있는 비축유 방출을 검토해야 할 것이다 .
