"52-hour weekly work system, it will increase quality of life, job, and productivity“

  A 52-hour weekly work system has been in operation since yesterday. As a result, our society has come to meet a major change in the labor field that is comparable to the five-day working week introduced in 2004. Korea is the second longest OECD country in the world, following Mexico, and 61.3% of workers do not leave the office on time. It was reported that working for a long time leads not only to violate workers' health rights but also to lower quality of life and lower productivity. In order to get rid of the stigma of 'the longest working hours in the world', the people and the labor unions have made fruitful efforts that they have had for the past 10 years. The 52-hour weekly work system is expected to create three major effects: to improve quality of life, increase jobs, and increase productivity. Now, the 52-hour weekly work system should focus on institutionalizing work and life balance by having soft landing at the job site. The government must actively respond to the concerns of the local government, including income cuts and additional employment burdens, in order to secure early settlement and expansion of the system. Democratic Party will reduce the difficulties of the field and will cooperate and provide support to guarantee the happiness and rest of the people.   

“주52시간 근로제, 삶의질·일자리·생산성 높일 것”  ■ 추미애 대표 어제부터 주 52 시간 근로제가 시행되었다 . 이로써 우리 사회는 2004 년에 도입된 주 5 일 근무제에 버금가는 노동 분야의 일대변화를 맞이하게 되었다 . 한국은 OECD 국가 중 멕시코에 이어 연간노동시간이 두 번째로 긴 나라이며 , 직장인 61.3%가 정시퇴근을 하지 못한다고 한다 . 이미 장시간 근로는 노동자의 건강권을 침해할 뿐 아니라 삶의 질 저하 , 생산성 하락까지 이어지는 것으로 조사되었다 . ‘세계 최장 노동시간 ’이라는 오명에서 탈피하기 위해 국민과 노사정이 지난 10 년 동안 끊임없이 노력한 결실을 맺은 것이다 . 주 52 시간 근로제는 삶의 질을 개선하고 , 일자리를 늘리며 , 생산성을 높이는 3 대 효과를 만들어낼 것으로 기대되고 있다 . 이제는 주 52 시간 근로제가 노동현장에 연착륙하여 워라밸을 제도화하는데 주력해야 할 것이다 . 정부는 소득 감소와 추가고용 부담 등 현장의 우려에 적극적으로 대응해 조기 정착과 확대에 힘을 모아야 한다 . 더불어민주당은 현장의 어려움을 줄여나가고 국민의 행복과 휴식을 보장하는데 힘을 모으고 지원을 아끼지 않겠다 .
