“LKP should apologize for lawmaker Khang Hyo-shang’s illegal actions and take proper disciplinary measures”     □ Lee Hae-chan, Chairman of the DPK  It is hoped that the Liberty Korea Party (LKP) will apologize for lawmaker Khang Hyo-shang’s illegal actions and take proper disciplinary measures accordingly. Khang put South Korea’s diplomatic trust at risk with the international community and undermined the Korea-U.S. alliance, which is more solid than ever, by disturbing mutual trust between the leaders of the two states. A country unable to keep secret telephone conversations between heads of state and classified diplomatic information cannot gain international trust or share sensitive information with other countries. LKP lawmaker Khang intentionally disclosed confidential diplomatic information for his own political interests. His actions are criminal for which he must take responsibility. The Liberty Korea Party should assume responsibility as the main opposition party and take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents from occurring again. The diplomat who leaked the confidential information to the LKP lawmaker returned to Korea yesterday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must take stern punitive measures and conduct a thorough investigation into the case so as to prevent such an occurance from ever happening again.    

“한국당, 강효상 불법행위 사과하고 적절 조치해야”
 □ 이해찬 당대표  자유한국당은 강효상 의원의 불법행위를 사과하고 적절한 조치를 취하시기 바란다 . 강효상 의원은 국제 사회에서 대한민국의 외교적 신뢰를 무너뜨리고 어느 때보다 공고한 한미관계 , 두 정상 간의 신뢰를 흔들어 놓았다 . 정상 간의 통화 내용 , 외교교섭의 기밀도 지킬 수 없는 나라라는 국제적 신뢰도 얻을 수 없고 , 민감한 정보를 공유할 수도 없다 . 강효상 의원은 개인의 영달을 위해 국가기밀을 의도적으로 누설했다 . 정말 잘못된 행동이다 . 상응하는 책임을 져야할 것이다 . 자유한국당도 공당으로 책임지고 마땅한 조치를 내려야 할 것이다 . 유출한 외교관도 어제 귀국했다고 한다 . 외교부의 강력한 대응이 있어야 한다 . 다시는 이런 일이 재발하지 않도록 철저한 조사와 엄정한 처벌이 있어야 한다 .
